On the one hand, here’s China potentially dangling $60 million dollars over my head... then I start reading about horrific things in China. I thought: ‘I can’t do this.

  “But it looks like it could have scaled up, and brought great benefit.”  He continued: “In one sense, there’s a higher principle there, but not at the expense of people who are being murdered for their organs. I can’t be part of that. It’s kind of analogous to those people who knew that Auschwitz was going on and turned a blind eye. This to me is what China is doing, murdering people for their organs. It’s China’s Auschwitz. I’m aware of it due to your newspaper, and if it means that even if my technology doesn’t come to fruition, I can look at myself in the mirror and say: ‘I didn’t take blood money from a government that is murdering its people.’
