On the one hand, here’s China potentially dangling $60 million dollars over my head... then I start reading about horrific things in China. I thought: ‘I can’t do this.

I’m aware of it due to your newspaper, and if it means that even if my technology doesn’t come to fruition, I can look at myself in the mirror and say: ‘I didn’t take blood money from a government that is murdering its people.’
